Refund Policy
1. The rule: 30 days, money back, no reasons required
For any paid licence — Founding, Early Access, Professional, or Enterprise — you may obtain a full refund within 30 days of purchase. You do not have to give a reason. There is no "as long as you haven't used it" condition and no restocking logic; if Rendlio is not what you needed, you get your money back.
2. How to request one
- Paid licences are sold by Paddle as merchant of record, so the refund is executed by Paddle under its buyer terms. The fastest route is the receipt email Paddle sent you at purchase — it links directly to Paddle's support.
- Or simply write to billing@rendlio.com with your licence id or order reference and we will start the Paddle refund for you.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method by Paddle. Processing times are Paddle's and your bank's, typically a few business days.
3. What a refund does to the licence
On refund, the licence terminates immediately: the perpetual release-date rule no longer applies, use of the software beyond evaluation mode must stop, and all copies of the licence file must be deleted (EULA draft Sections 8.2–8.3).
One honest technical note, stated here exactly as it is stated in the EULA: because the software never phones home, a refunded licence file cannot be remotely disabled — deployed copies will continue to verify. Our sole enforcement act is marking the licence revoked in our records. A refunded licence file that still verifies is not a licence; continued use after a refund is unlicensed use. We accept that asymmetry as the cost of the no-telemetry promise, and we rely on your honesty the same way you rely on ours.
4. What is not refundable
- Free tiers — Community and Trial licences cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
- After 30 days — past the window, refunds are at our discretion (via Paddle), except where mandatory law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
- Maintenance renewals — the same 30-day rule applies from the renewal purchase date. The exact effect of a renewal refund on the maintenance date (reverting it, rather than terminating the underlying licence) is being fixed in the counsel-issued version; the underlying perpetual licence is not what a renewal refund takes away.
